Our Philosophy

Homegrown Produce Tastes So Much Better

We pride ourselves on offering home grown lamb, pork and fresh eggs, right here from our humble small holding.

All of our meat is butchered to a high standard and we grow our pigs in small numbers, meaning better quality and higher welfare for the animals.


Traceability

You can be sure that the pork and lamb you buy from us has been grown by us, and that our animals have an extremely high quality of life while they are alive. we wouldn’t want it any other way.


Sustainability

We want our operation to be as self sustaining as possible, our aim is to have good quality grass, on which to graze our sheep & lambs and which provides high quality fodder for them during the winter. We also invest in the soil health of our pig & chicken pens, rotating the pigs & chickens and putting diverse cover crops and grasses on them to ensure minimal soil erosion and maximum water retention and carbon sequestration when the pens are not in use. They also attract a lot of wildlife to the area, including bees and butterflies.


Welfare

We want our animals to have the best life while they’re with us. We give our pigs room to move and cover crops to root at. Our sheep & lambs have rich pastures to rotate on and our chickens have the run of the land to roam on.


Ordering

Having a small flock of lambs and small batches of pigs means that our meat is done to order for meat boxes, or if we have sausages, lamb burgers or other cuts then it is a case of “as and when” the animals are ready. We regularly put out posts via our social media pages, so you can keep up to date with what we have and when it’s available.
